Ervin is working on a project for chocolate production. He visited a hard working chocolate farmer friend of mine (Jimmy) from Cane Creek (and one of the community leaders of Bankukut). Jimmy has 50 chocolate trees at his farm.

Cane Creek is just southwest of the village of Bankukut. We visited farms up the creek a ways. My Rama friends tell me that this is the first time anyone has filmed the place. We just returned from a very productive journey to Nicaragua. We met with leaders in Esteli, Matagalpa, Bluefields, Rama Cay, Eagle Point (Bankukut), and the Cane Creek area.

>We purchased and are sending down 25 “birthing kits” with a friend who is taking a team to Rama Cay. Each birthing kit consists of a variety of disposable supplies for one childbirth. This is one way to reduce infant mortality and protect the young mothers from infection and other complications.
